ZVEZDA designs and builds wheeled amphibious all-terrain vehicles for transporting passengers and cargo across snow, soft ground, marshes and water.
These vehicles have specific jobs: transporting a work shift, connecting two settlements, delivering cargo to a remote site or completing an expedition route. Far from the base, mobility and payload are only part of the requirement. Reliable heating, good visibility, luggage space and access to components for servicing also matter.
How ZVEZDA began
Our team has worked with wheeled all-terrain vehicles since 2009. We studied travel across snow and soft ground, tested low-pressure tyres and built experimental 4×4 and 8×8 vehicles. Some of the solutions proven in that work became the foundation of today's model range.
ZVEZDA LLC was registered in summer 2024. In August 2025, the company opened a manufacturing facility in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region. The facility manufactures structural parts, assembles frames and bodies, installs components and fits out vehicles.
The factory now produces passenger Severobus vehicles and works on cargo, crew-and-cargo and special-purpose models. The catalogue states each vehicle's status: production, special-purpose, project or undergoing tests.
Choosing a vehicle for the route
There is no single ready-made answer “for the North”. An inter-settlement bus needs capacity and easy boarding, an expedition vehicle needs endurance away from infrastructure, and a work team needs space for people, tools and luggage.
Before choosing a model, we establish the operating region and season, route length, passenger numbers and cargo type. We then discuss the interior or cargo area, heating, communications, power supplies and the customer's equipment.
The range includes the eight-wheeled T24, the more compact T13 and T10, cargo developments in the HX4 family and special-purpose layouts. Some tasks suit a production vehicle with a modified interior. Others require a separate project.
Field tests and expeditions
After workshop checks, vehicles are taken to test sites and real routes. B16 took part in the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Safe Arctic — 2025 exercise and completed a route through Chukotka. T24 was used as a mobile northern and Arctic lecture venue. T23 was tested in loose snow, and HX4-family cargo vehicles were tested under load on a waterlogged test site.
Conditions matter in test reports: location, weather, ground conditions, load and distance. Without them, “tested in tough conditions” tells a future owner very little.
According to the company, more than 90% of the components and assemblies in ZVEZDA vehicles are made in Russia. The company develops and manufactures more than 60% of the components itself. This helps it address test findings and refine the design more quickly.
