On 4 October, an away meeting of the Northern Forum was held on the topic of "Transport and Logistics". The central theme was the discussion of the potential of the "Far Eastern Hectare" programme for the development of the Transarctic Transport Corridor.
During the discussions, Nadezhda Filippova, Deputy General Director for Science at the Yakutsk Scientific Centre of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor at MADI and NEFU, noted that the programme's plots could become anchor points for creating transport, research, and innovation infrastructure.
An idea was proposed to combine the most promising "hectares" in various regions into a single network, connected by transport routes. This will allow territories to develop as parts of a unified system, rather than in isolation.
For the ZVEZDA plant, this topic has practical significance. The development of remote territories requires not only the creation of routes but also the provision of equipment for delivering people, equipment, and goods.
Mobile drilling rigs, mobile laboratories, and technical assistance modules on all-terrain vehicle platforms, developed by the ZVEZDA plant, can become part of the infrastructure of such anchor points. They are capable of ensuring research and production work in conditions of a limited road network.

The discussion of these issues will continue at the VII Northern Forum on Sustainable Development, which will take place from 7 to 10 October in Yakutsk. The results for this direction will be summarised on 10-11 December in St. Petersburg, at the venue of the XVI International Forum "Arctic: Present and Future" named after A. N. Chilingarov.
The ZVEZDA plant emphasises: the development of the North begins with the accessibility of territories and solutions that help to work on them.
