In mid-July, during the high water period, a second historic event took place: ZVEZDA all-terrain vehicles returned from Batagay to Yakutsk via an entirely overland route.
This six-day forced march through summer off-road conditions, like the May journey, was accomplished for the first time in history.
The mission would be incomplete without the main assessment – from the people for whom we worked. And we got it! After the completion of the tests, the administration of the Verkhoyansk district began to receive numerous appeals from residents with one question: "When will regular passenger transportation services using ZVEZDA all-terrain vehicles be launched?"
This question is the best proof of the success of the entire expedition.
- We didn't just make two historic crossings, proving technical superiority.
- We showed people a real solution to their main problem – transport isolation.
The goal of the Amphibious All-Terrain Vehicle Plant is to make the Arctic accessible to its residents all year round. And the Verkhoyansk expedition showed that we are on the right track!
