The ZVEZDA Plant team successfully completed another stage of driving tests in open water. The main star was the ZVEZDA T23-42 amphibious all-terrain vehicle, designed for operation in harsh conditions, long expeditions, and transporting large groups of people.
The all-terrain vehicle stays afloat confidently and demonstrates high manoeuvrability when overcoming water obstacles. This model, the ZVEZDA T23-42, features a 6×6 wheel formula, ensuring high off-road capability on various types of terrain, including swamps and viscous soils.
For movement on water, the all-terrain vehicle is equipped with a waterjet propulsion system developed and manufactured by the ZVEZDA Plant, which ensures confident and manoeuvrable progress at speeds of up to 8 km/h.
Key characteristics of the ZVEZDA T23-42:
- 6×6 wheel formula – for high off-road capability on land and water.
- Waterjet propulsion system – for confident and manoeuvrable progress on water.
- 12 seats and a spacious luggage compartment – for comfortable accommodation of the team and equipment.
- Additional fuel tanks of 200 litres, increasing the total fuel capacity on board to 900 litres, ensure autonomy far from civilisation.
These tests confirmed the declared amphibious properties of the ZVEZDA T23-42. Earlier, in early July, the ZVEZDA Plant had already demonstrated the amphibious properties of the ZVEZDA HX4 cargo vehicle with and without a waterjet, with and without cargo. At the request of customers, who highly appreciated these capabilities, we continue to demonstrate amphibious properties for other models, including the most in-demand three-axle models for inter-settlement and tourist services. ZVEZDA T23-42 Arctic buses have a comfortable high cabin, twelve convenient passenger seats facing the direction of travel, and tiered shelves for luggage.
The ZVEZDA Plant continues to prepare equipment for new challenges, ensuring its reliability and functionality in the most difficult conditions.
